DFA-55®
 
A multi-functional summer premium diesel fuel additive popular with over the road truck drivers and independent diesel fuel users.  This diesel fuel additive contains the four to five cetane numbers typically needed to realize improved diesel engine power production.  Detergency is provided to compensate for the quality of diesel fuels bought from various sources on the road.  Lubricity is added to maintain the diesel fuel pump and injector systems at maximum efficiency.  Diesel fuel stabilizers and distillate fuel corrosion inhibitors are also provided to minimize or eliminate the effects of natural diesel fuel degradation and protect the diesel fuel system from rust and corrosion.   
 
 
 
DFA-55W®WDA™    

A winter premium diesel fuel additive for the over the road truck driver, transportation, construction and consumer industries. Two to three cetane numbers provide needed power while De-Icers and wax dispersing agents keep diesel fuel lines from freezing and tanks from jelling. Detergency is provided to compensate for the quality of diesel fuels bought from various sources on the road. Lubricity is added to maintain the diesel fuel pump and diesel fuel injector systems at maximum efficiency.

WINTERIZATION PROTECTION 
 
In the past, when cold weather was around the corner a diesel equipment operator just dumped some kerosene into the diesel fuel tank in order to "winterize his diesel fuel".  If it was going to get real cold the diesel fuel user added more kerosene and hoped the diesel engine would start.  If it started the diesel equipment operator hoped that it wouldn’t freeze up.  It didn’t matter if the diesel engine had less power.  It didn’t matter if the kerosene increased his costs per mile. It’s what the diesel operator had to do.

That was then.  This is now!  Today’s sophisticated distillate fuel chemistries alter the makeup of the diesel fuel to lower temperatures where it will perform without gelling, freezing or plugging fuel filters - and testing proves it.  
 
 
 

MAINTENANCE REDUCTION  
 
Diesel fuel economy improvements are easy to track and calculate but they are just a portion of the savings that are achieved with good diesel fuel additives.  Some diesel engine maintenance cost reductions from improved starting in cold weather that extends battery and starter life are difficult to measure.  Other saving are achieved over a much longer period of time like improved cleaning and better lubricating of injectors and the fuel pump resulting in less diesel engine fuel system component wear and longer replacement intervals.
